This is one of my new favorite photos of my handsome little dude.

So, the last month..... my mom came for a week which was just wonderful. Wyatt absolutely adores "Grammers" as he calls her. We did lots of fun things while she was here and she was able to partake in Wyatt's activities - gymnastics and playschool which was great so now she can picture it when I tell her stories about his latest escapades. We did a bit of sightseeing, walked around Wascana Park which is a beautiful green space in the middle of the city. There is a nice 4km loop around the section with the legislature and it was packed on the sunny day we headed out.
With Gramma at the airport when she arrived.

In the mud at home in his new Muddy Buddy (aka one of the greatest inventions in kids clothing EVER).

At the airport with Gramma when she was leaving. Too bad it wasn't a better photo of Wyatt as it is a great photo of my mom (IMO).

The only part I didn't like about her trip was the leaving part. Wyatt was rather distraught for a few days. Even the morning she was leaving he burst into tears a couple of times. He also wanted in his crib and once I put him in there, he didn't want to get out. We figured out that he probably felt it was a safe place and that she might not have to leave if he stayed there. But, we got through the trip to the airport and the goodbyes and are now counting down to our trip out there in the summer. Tentatively we will go about the 7th of July and stay for 2 1/2 or 3 weeks.
What else is new? Well, I spent the two weeks before my moms arrival frantically getting the house ready. We got the guest room painted (thank you Chandra!), I finished painting our bathroom, trim in several places, got my new (birthday) light fixture in the dining room hung up, fan from there moved to our bedroom. Pretty much every job I have been putting off since her last visit! I need to take a few photos of the room makeovers with the paint etc. It made a HUGE difference.
Not too much planned at the moment - hopefully a trip down to Minot in North Dakota for a night or two with Tom and Wyatt. They have a hotel attached to the mall and it seems to have a really cool indoor water park. So, it would be a fun getaway - Wyatt will love the pools and I will get to go to Target. Minot is about 4 hours away, so it isn't too far to go. I wish it was a bigger centre, but it's North Dakota which is essentially like Saskatchewan......tons of tiny, tiny towns and about 2 or 3 major ones.
I have a few cool projects on the go at the moment that I hope to get done and photographed and posted. I need to make a trip to Michael's though for a few supplies for one of them. Hopefully will get there this week.
And to end this post, a photo of Wyatt doing his "cheeeeeeeeezzzzzeeee face". This always involved goofy grin, eyes shut and head tilted. Sometimes he says "cheeeeeeeezzzeee pizza" which cracks me up. Speaking of funny things he is saying, forklifts are forklips which for some reason cracks me up. Oh and everything he says when referring to himself starts with "I, me". As in "I, me, Daddy go swimming", "I, me have apple juice". While I am on a roll, yesterday we were in the car in town and went down Albert St past the Mackenzie Art Gallery where they have three cow sculptures outside. We have driven by this place at least weekly since we moved here. But yesterday for the first time I think he noticed them as he yelled out to me "Mommy, stop the car, there's baby cows!!!!!". He was so serious about this I got a good laugh. Ok, that's it for now....enough stories of things my little dude does that I think are funny.
